Project Description: The project on waste management was initiated by Grade 4 students after learning about the usage and importance of persuasive vocabulary during their Media Unit. This self-initiated project was integrated with one of the language outcomes of the unit. Starting in December, the students identified the problem of improper waste segregation and took pictures of all the bins across the school. They created a presentation and began orienting students about waste management, specifically the segregation of wet and dry waste. Facing challenges in spreading awareness due to time and logistical constraints, they formed a team of volunteers from their class to help. The project aimed to persuade people on the importance of proper waste segregation, addressing an issue observed across all grades.
Project Outcome: Segregation of Wet and Dry Waste
