Project Outcome: The teachers of Junior KG have shared that the food wastage has drastically reduced after the students monitoring regularly there.
Project Description: Six students formed an organization named Save The Plate, applying their understanding from the HWOO (How We Organize Ourselves) unit. In Term 1, they advocated for food conservation by engaging with a few Junior KG classes. Their enthusiasm reignited during the **WWA (Who We Are)** unit, where discussions around being Global Citizens inspired them to take their initiative further.
Drawing meaningful connections with UNSDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, the students expanded their efforts by advocating to all sections of Junior KG, emphasizing the importance of avoiding food wastage. Demonstrating commitment and responsibility, they began monitoring food waste daily during the SMB time in Junior KG, actively guiding younger peers toward more mindful consumption. Their initiative showcased strong advocacy skills, a sense of global responsibility, and a growing understanding of their role as changemakers.
