Project Description: The project undertaken was part of a grade 7 Integrated Disciplinary Unit (IDU) process-based summative assessment, focusing on creating organic perfumes that meet all IDU criteria. The student selected this project due to concerns over conventional perfumes containing ingredients grown with chemicals, pesticides, and toxins, which can be harmful to both skin and the environment. Organic perfumes, in contrast, avoid these risks and do not contain petrochemical-derived synthetic odors, which have been associated with health issues like lung discomfort, nausea, and migraines. This project aimed to promote healthier and environmentally friendly alternatives in personal care products through the creation of organic perfumes.
