Project Outcome: As part of her passion project, she took the initiative to explore and master the art of making various dishes. Not only did she learn new culinary techniques, but she also shared her skills by conducting sessions for others. Her journey continues as she keeps creating new dishes at home, nurturing her passion and inspiring those around her.
Project Description: Under the unit “Curiosity,” she chose baking as her passion project. Throughout the Genius Hour sessions, she consistently demonstrated a strong curiosity and eagerness to learn more about baking. Beyond the recipes covered in class, she explored additional recipes at home. When the unit on Organization began, and the class decided to create an organization (endeavor), she chose to join the cooking department. In this role, she was actively involved in teaching cooking alongside her peers to the students of Nathan School. She even proposed translating recipes into Gujarati to make them more accessible for the students. Additionally, she coordinated with other students to meet at her place, working together to finalize recipes that are both healthy and use easily accessible ingredients. Her application of learning from the Curiosity unit was impressive. She also took the initiative to lead a session in the Genius Hour slot, demonstrating how to make an Oreo sponge cake to the students.
