By: Neev Kansal

Project Description:
Neev Kansal undertook this individual Science project as a research-based exploration of cross-breeding and modern genetics, with a focus on CRISPR-Cas gene-editing technology. The project was rooted in Biology concepts such as heredity, genetic variation, selective breeding, and advancements in biotechnology. Through extensive literature review, case studies, models, and simulations, Neev studied how CRISPR-Cas is applied in real-world scientific research to modify genes and enhance desirable traits. The inquiry also included theoretical exploration of cloning and animal biotechnology, with emphasis on understanding scientific limitations and ethical considerations.

Project Outcome:
As a result of this project, Neev developed a comprehensive research portfolio that demonstrates a clear understanding of modern genetic tools and their applications. The project highlights his ability to analyze scientific information, evaluate ethical implications, and document findings in a structured manner. Over several weeks, he strengthened his research, analytical thinking, and reflection skills while gaining deeper insight into the role of biotechnology in contemporary science.
