Project Outcome: Sustainable Spacesuit System

Project Description: The assigned problem focused on addressing the severe challenges faced by astronauts during space exploration. In space, the absence of air pressure and reduced gravity make breathing, movement, and survival drastically different from conditions on Earth. Without proper pressure, body fluids could boil, and lungs would cease to function. Furthermore, the lack of oxygen, extreme temperatures, and harmful radiation pose life-threatening risks. A spacesuit functions as a mini spacecraft, offering oxygen supply, pressure maintenance, temperature regulation, and protection. To ease astronauts’ lives in such harsh conditions, the project aimed to develop a spacesuit system capable of operating efficiently in pressurized environments, utilizing sustainable materials to enhance both functionality and the technological reputation of the nation.
