Project Outcome: Assistive Wheelchair

Project Description: his project focused on developing an assistive technology designed specifically for wheelchair users, integrating a GPS tracking system with advanced coding for precision navigation and object detection. Addressing the challenges faced by individuals with limited mobility, particularly those navigating real-world environments not designed with accessibility in mind, the project aimed to improve safety and independence. Wheelchair users often encounter difficulties such as uneven sidewalks, poorly maintained roads, and unpredictable obstacles, all of which hinder their ability to move freely and confidently. By offering real-time location tracking and obstacle detection, this innovative device empowered users—many of whom are patients or individuals with chronic conditions—to navigate their surroundings more safely and reach their destinations with greater ease and autonomy.
