Project Outcome:
Displays and beach cleanup

Project Description: Inspired by their learning in the Biodiversity unit, the girls decided to explore marine ecosystems, specifically focusing on life in the abyssopelagic and hadopelagic zones of the ocean. They conducted in-depth research on the unique species that inhabit these extreme environments, along with the challenges these creatures face due to human actions, particularly water pollution. Demonstrating a strong sense of agency and responsibility, the students not only learned about the impact of pollution but also took action. They volunteered in beach cleanup drives and even reached out to the local SMC member of the Dumas region, requesting the installation of dustbins to reduce littering. Their project reflects a meaningful blend of inquiry, action, and advocacy, rooted in a passion for protecting life below water.
