Project Description: As part of their Grade 7 Language and Literature curriculum, students explored the creative practice of sketch noting through Jerry Craft’s graphic novel New Kid. By reading selected chapters or the entire book, they created sketch notes to visually represent their understanding of key literary elements such as mood, tone, characterization, and impact. Their work provided an insightful overview of the story and its themes, demonstrating their ability to analyze and interpret literature in an engaging and artistic format.
