Project Description: The project was a part of the grade 7 Integrated Disciplinary Unit (IDU) process-based summative assessment, focusing on creating organic soaps that fulfill all IDU criteria. The motivation behind choosing this project stemmed from concerns regarding synthetic soaps, which often contain harmful chemicals leading to skin issues such as allergies, itching, infections, and potential health risks like cancer. By crafting soap bars from natural ingredients grown without harmful chemicals, the aim was to promote a healthier lifestyle free from the adverse effects associated with synthetic alternatives.
