Project Outcome: Extended Essay in Physics
Project Description: This Extended Essay (EE) explored how the constriction angle of a Venturi aspirator affects the negative pressure and average turbulent kinetic energy of air flowing through it. The study analyzed the behavior of airflow at various constriction angles to understand how changes in the geometry of the aspirator influence pressure drop and turbulence within the device. By conducting experiments and simulations, the research aimed to identify the optimal design parameters that could improve the efficiency of a carburetor by optimizing airflow dynamics. The findings provided valuable insights into how modifications in the Venturi aspirator design could lead to better fuel-air mixture control, enhancing carburetor performance and contributing to more efficient engine designs.
