Project Description: Anaya’s project focused on portrait study using pencil shading as the medium. The student explored various types of portraiture and worked on recreating them to understand the formation of human faces. Through this process, Anaya developed essential visual art skills, including value, depth, and sketching. The inquiry was self-initiated, with the student selecting faces of various famous personalities, each with distinct facial features, to gain a diverse learning experience. This project allowed Anaya to enhance her artistic abilities and deepen her understanding of portraiture techniques.
