Project Outcome: Students created Rangoli – a traditional Indian art form that involves creating intricate patterns using various materials such as flower petals, colored powders, turmeric, rice flour, and more, with each type offering its own unique charm and cultural significance.
Project Description: Students learned about the history of Rangoli, the reasons behind its creation, its importance, and also the reasons to preserve this art form. They explored how Rangoli has been an integral part of cultural and religious practices, created to celebrate festivals and welcome guests. The significance of Rangoli was discussed, highlighting its role in symbolizing prosperity, happiness, and good fortune. Additionally, students gained an understanding of the importance of preserving this art form, recognizing its cultural, spiritual, and environmental value in connecting generations and maintaining traditional practices.
