Project Description:
This whole-class Service & Leadership project, Role Model in Action, was conducted as part of the Role Model Unit under TDT–WWA. The project aimed to help students understand the importance of empathy, responsibility, sustainability, and positive action by applying their learning in real-life community contexts.

Project Focus & Activities:
Students demonstrated strong initiative by actively planning and executing a range of meaningful service activities. They engaged in collecting and upcycling waste materials to create useful utility products, which were then gifted to residents of an old age home. This activity emphasized sustainability and the thoughtful reuse of resources. In addition, students organized and conducted read-aloud sessions for underprivileged children in the City Light society. They spent time on Sundays reading stories, teaching, playing, and distributing learning materials, thereby fostering a supportive and engaging environment for the children.Another key aspect of the project involved maintaining cleanliness within the school premises, particularly the Rendezvous–Assembly Area. Students voluntarily took responsibility for this task and committed to continuing it as part of their routine, reinforcing habits of discipline and collective responsibility.

Project Outcome:
Over several weeks, the project evolved into a sustained set of actions that became part of the students’ regular practice. Through these experiences, students developed empathy, teamwork, leadership, and a strong sense of social responsibility. The project successfully demonstrated that being a role model is reflected not only in understanding values but in consistently applying them through meaningful and impactful actions within the community.
