Project Type: Group Project (HDP)
Project Description:
This project was developed for the International Robotics Olympiad (IRO) using a LEGO SPIKE Prime robot on a mission-based mat. The focus was on addressing environmental challenges through robotics in a simulated, real-world scenario.
Project Outcome:
Students designed, built, and programmed a miniature robot to perform tasks such as waste segregation, ecosystem protection, and community support. The robot was engineered to identify and separate wet and dry waste, remove invasive plants, collect water hyacinths for composting, and transport fish safely within the simulated environment. The project followed the full engineering design process, including planning, building, programming, testing, and iterative improvement. It demonstrated strong collaboration, problem-solving skills, and effective application of robotics and coding concepts to environmental conservation challenges.
