Project Outcome: Identifying the most challenging format for elite batsmen through rigorous research.
Project Description: Dhruv’s Internal Assessment (IA) rigorously explored which cricket format is the most difficult for elite batsmen to score runs consistently. Through comprehensive research, he integrated the sport of cricket with complex statistical analysis, employing tools like ANOVA and the Bonferroni test to assess and compare the performance of batsmen across various formats. By calculating the Z-score, Dhruv established a benchmark to define what qualifies as an “elite batsman.”
His exceptional IA reflected not only his keen interest in cricket but also his ability to apply sophisticated and rigorous statistical inference tests. Dhruv further justified the application of parametric tests by conducting a normality test, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of his results. The research concluded with an insightful determination of the most challenging format for top-level batsmen, showcasing his aptitude for combining sports analysis with advanced statistical techniques.
