Project Description:
Nishika Baid undertook this individual Science project focused on developing her own skincare products while also compiling a research paper. The project addressed concerns related to commercially available skincare products, such as high costs and the presence of chemicals that may cause skin irritation. She explored the use of natural ingredients and investigated how traditional methods can be used to create safe and effective skincare alternatives. Her research also considered the mindful use of materials, including the potential reuse of organic resources like flowers in a sustainable manner.
Project Outcome:
Through this project, Nishika successfully created natural skincare products such as creams and face packs using traditional preparation methods. The project enhanced her understanding of skincare formulation, ingredient properties, and the importance of using safe and eco-friendly alternatives. It also strengthened her research, experimentation, and critical thinking skills, while demonstrating her ability to apply scientific knowledge to develop practical, sustainable solutions for everyday use.
